Texas came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2 runs. After an out was recorded, Ryan Klesko started the rally when he drew a walk. Tom Lampkin came next and he drew a walk. Barry Bonds then drew a walk to load the bases. Jim Edmonds was up next and he lined a base-hit giving Texas the victory as 48,000 happy fans celebrated wildly. Texas had a total of 12 hits for the game. John Franco(4-2) allowed no runs in 2/3 of an inning, and picked up the victory. Mariano Rivera(2-3) was given the loss in relief. Franco and Klesko were really whooping it up in the clubhouse after the great come from behind victory. As Jack Welch noted, 'A win like this one can do wonders for a team's attitude.' Everyone shares in the joy - the fans, the players - even you guys - it's better than winning by a dozen runs!'
