Garciaparra had a good evening at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in the 2nd inning, delivered a one-base hit in the 4th inning and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 13th of the season) in the 6th inning. Tampa Bay dominated offensively as they scored in 6 different innings. The victory went to Rodrigo Lopez(9-2) who went 7 innings, allowing 5 runs. A.J. Burnett(7-7) was given the loss. He was knocked around, surrendering 5 runs in 4 and 1/3 innings. The Tampa Bay ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 62-20. Texas can't seem to snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a miserable 0-10 record over the last couple weeks.
