The Houston Astros defeated the Tampa Bay Devil Rays by a score of 9 to 5 at
Enron Field.

The Houston fans enjoyed the offense provided by Manny Ramirez.  He laced a
single in the 3rd inning, delivered a one-base hit resulting in a run in the
5th inning and lost the ball over the fence for three runs (his 5th of the
season) in the 7th inning.  Houston had a total of 10 hits for the game.

The victory went to Damaso Marte(1-0) who went 2/3 of an inning, allowing no
runs. Marte got help from Octavio Dotel who earned his 1st save.  Chris
Hammond(0-1) was the loser in relief.
